Growing Pains

It's been more than a little while since I posted, and it's not because I've been lazy. Okay, maybe a little lax, but it's because I've had so much happening over the last 6 months, that writing for my blog isn't the first thing on my mind. But I want to make it happen more.

No one dictates what I write, so maybe it's time to diversify. (Affiliate links provided)

I've been working full time on my Real Estate business after we moved to Portland, OR in March. It's been stressful and expensive, but it's been totally worth it. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can see that this is going places, and will help us live a happier more fulfilled life, once we get our feet under us.

Aside from the move, the boys each received a family membership to local entertainment venues. Connor got an Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) membership, and Cohen got an Oregon Zoo membership. They've had so much fun getting out of the house and exploring our beautiful world!

I've been asked by a local yarn shop to design and publish some crochet patterns for sale. So far, I've written up and started having testers work on an amigurumi gnome. I also have a snowman, some gloves, and a kids sweater pattern I'm working on. The shop is called Black Sheep at Orenco.

In addition to all of this, I've been commissioned to write blog posts for a wonderful family owned business out of Toronto, Canada. They create beautiful 10K gold jewelry, everything from wedding rings to Catholic Saint pendants - and everything in between. This is the site for Ice Gold Jewellery.

On the hobby side of things, I've been making jewelry, despite not actually WEARING jewelry, I really enjoy making it. So I've been gifting, and selling most of what I make. You can find those pieces (along with some of my crochet, and my Father-in-law's pens) at my etsy shop, Lily Lane Eclectic.
